God cares for you !

1Pe 5:6 Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you.

The Living Bible translation paraphrase 1 Pet 5 : 7 with these words : “ Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and everything that concerns you”

The distinctive truth of the Bible is found in four simple words : “He cares for you!” This is the sweep of the entire message of the Bible. In countless ways we find and discover that God does care. Evidence of His care is found in Psalm 23:1 Jehovah is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

Jesus Christ is the most revealing evidence that God cares. Everything He said or did was living proof of God`s care. How does He care for us in a time like this ?

God cares in our time of need :

Mat 6 : 31 ‑ 32 says : Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed? 32 For the nations seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

God has promised to meet all our needs. Our part is to trust Him. We especially need to trust Him when death comes to a family member.

God cares in time of sorrow :

This is expressed in Jesus` ministry to Mary & Martha at Lazarus` death : When Jesus arrived at their home, Lazarus had already been laid in the tomb for 4 days. Many friends had come to console Martha & mary, but it was Jesus` arrival that let them know how truly God cared. ( John 11 : 17 ‑ 19 )

Jesus still enters into our times of grief with us : He was a man of sorrows and acquinted with grief.

God cares in time of storm.

Jesus fell asleep in the boat after a long day ‑ a fierce and violent storm arose and it looked as if they were going to sink. The disciples did what we all would do ‑

Jesus took charge ‑ He rebuked the wind and commanded the sea to be still. Everything became calm and He asked them “Why are you so timid ‑ How is it that you have no faith?”

This story talks about two types of storms : The one in nature and the one in the disciples hearts. : Jesus cared and brought peace to both. God cares for you even in the storm.

God cares in time eternal

Nothing will ever separate us from God`s loving care. Rom 8 : 35 ‑ 39 clearly states this But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is eternal loving care :

Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
