What next?

So often we get to that place where we ask “what next?” I have done everything I could think of to remedy the situation. I believe that I am obedient and that I have stepped out in faith. I believe that I have acted and done all that the Word expects of me, yet the breakthrough still tarries.

Eph 6:13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ( MKJV )

The message translation puts it this way: “Eph 6:13 Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet.”

This reminded me of the saying “It’s not over till the fat lady sings” ( should I have said: till the `well-proportioned lady` sings )

After having done everything humanly possible, the next thing is to wait. Patiently, expectantly, silently, wait.

Psa 25:2 O my God, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me. 3 Yea, let none who wait on You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who sin without cause. 4 Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.

Isn’t it amazing, that David could say it like this “I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed”, “let none who wait on You be ashamed”.

David had such a confidence, that God will answer his prayer, he boldly reminded God of his covenant as a co-heir of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. “Let none who wait on You be ashamed”

As we are co-heirs, with them, we also have the confidence, that God will not leave us to be embarrassed and ashamed.

It is during this time of waiting that the enemy will come with his sly tactics, trying to mess with your mind and your thoughts. This is the time, when the outcome seems far away, that he will launch his attack. When you feel like giving up. He will never attack when things are looking up -–he attacks when weakness wants to set in.

Jam 4:7 Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

It is during this time that we have to stir up our faith, in submission to the Word.

Now we have the right to remind the enemy of our covenant with God. Resist the negative thoughts, the doubt and everything else he wants to throw at us. Then, the s

Scripture says “he will flee”

Stand firm, hold your ground, the breakthrough is coming, resist the enemy and the victory is yours.
